SUN

Today I sunbathed in the garden. Sunbathed. In England. In March.

Would I ever normally be sunbathing in March at home? Absolutely not. Am I going to do this every time the sun is out whilst in isolation? Absolutely!

It’s my nephews birthday this week and it’s made us all feel sad that he’s had to cancel his party and all celebrations, so we decided to each record a video message to compile together and send over for him. One of the main learnings I’ve taken from this is that my family is totally mad. But hey, if you can’t have a party with banners & balloons for one, an intrepid adventure across South Africa complete with a world map or a full 2-man band singing & dancing into a phone for a 7th Birthday video message on lockdown then when can you?

I don’t know if it’s because my brain is bored during the day or if quarantine does something very strange to it but I’m having the weirdest dreams at night. I keep waking in the night, convinced that the curtain is a person who has climbed through the window. Having curtains is definitely not a new thing for me but for some reason, these ones definitely look like a person in the dead of night. Maybe I should add ‘nightlight’ to that Amazon basket….
