One wine, two wine, three wine… OMG How do we get more wine????
It’s Saturday! Hoooorayyy…….. Oh wait, nothing has changed.
We did, however, get another food drop. Food drops are like Christmas; I even floated the idea of getting someone else to do our food shopping even when this is all over. The thrill of opening up bags full of someone else’s ideas for meals for the week is exhilarating these days .
I’m totally baffled as to how, with nothing else to do in the day, we find ourselves cooking dinner at 9pm. It’s as if, at this one opportunity in life to eat early & go to bed at a reasonable time, the clocks speed up at around 6pm.
Having only lived on this street less than a week, I find myself becoming a ‘Curtain Twitcher’, intrigued by the number of people walking up and down and inventing stories as to where they’re going. Sally at number 3 is in a hurry to get some pineapple juice from the local shop for her Pina Colada now the sun has popped it’s head out and Jeff opposite is on his fifth walk of the day, disguised by carrying empty shopping bags.
Dreaming of summer and an inflatable flamingo to bob around my (Amazon ‘Saved for later’) paddling pool.
